Simon Wildau

Simon Wildau (born 1990) was born and raised in Aarhus. In 2018, he finished the advanced postgraduate diploma (soloist education) at the Royal Academy of Music Aarhus after having studied with Frederik Munk Larsen here. In addition, SW also finished the advanced postgraduate diploma (soloist line) for ensembles from the Royal Danish Academy of Music as one half of Aros Guitarduo. Here he has been taught by  Jesper Sivebæk and Tim Frederiksen. From 2011-2013, Simon studied with world-famous guitarist and professor Alex Garrobé at Escola Superiór de Musica de Catalunya in Barcelona.

As a soloist and chamber musician, Simon has won numerous awards at competitions in Spain, Italy, Croatia, Liechtenstein and Denmark.

Simon has received support for education from the Idella Foundation, the Augustinus Foundation, the Lauritzen Foundation, Finn Jensen and his wife Kirsten Finn Jensen's instrument legacy, the Oticon Foundation, the Bohemian Foundation, Thøger Rasmussen's Memorial Law and Ejnar Hansen's award.
